"Seventeen years ago something happened to me that
changed my life forever.Back then I was working for the
government and very actively involved with all forms of sports. While lifting
weights one day, I felt a "pop" in my neck. The pain in my upper back
and neck was so intense that I couldn't turn my head, concentrate on my work,
and sometimes couldn't even button my shirt. I was afraid that I would lose my
job if the disability continued. After considering pain killers and muscle
relaxers (which I thought would cover the pain and not solve the problem) I
decided against it. But there's more.
"My boss at the time,
Verne, convinced me to give a chiropractor a try (and rather strongly, I might
add). The chiropractor did an exam, took some films, and then
"adjusted" my spine. The adjustment didn't hurt, it actually felt
good. I got relief, and I could move again. It worked so well that I
went to chiropractic school myself.
"Looking back, it was a life changing experience for
me. I graduated in 2000 from Palmer College of Chiropractic and have been in
active practice ever since. I am adjunct faculty at Palmer for their Clinic
Abroad Program, where we set up clinics in poor countries around the world. My
favorite place is Bolivia. I am also faculty at a local college and teach
anatomy & physiology and pathology. I hold an Advanced BA in Economics from
the University of Saskatchewan.
"I utilize Palmer Package
adjusting, Activator, Thompson Drop technique and Cox Flexion/ Distraction for
lumbar decompression therapy. I attempt to find the right technique for each
patient. We always try to treat people the way we want to be treated."

Diana: LMT
Massage Therapy is proving to be very effective for controlling pain and lets face it most everyone has some sort of pain or stress no matter what the cause.
Studies have revealed that regular Massage Therapy Sessions decrease stress hormones and have shown increases in white blood cells, indicating a boost in the immune system.
Massage Therapy releases endorphins, your body's natural pain-killers, into the brain and nervous system to reduce pain. Tense muscles are often deprived of oxygen and this tightness can inhibit blood circulation.
Other benefits include but are not limited to pain caused by arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic and terminal illness, relieve stiffness and muscle spasm.
It doesn't just feel good, it's good for you!
I've earned my Certification in Therapeutic Massage at Illinois Central College, am State Licensed and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
I schedule sessions by appointment only by calling 309-282-6419.
